SRI RAMANUJA MERIT SCHOLARSHIP POLICY

In order to motivate the students for better and sustained academic performance, Sri Ramanuja announces 40 merit scholarships, out of which 50% each for Engineering and Medical Divisions. Sri Ramanuja strictly follows standard administrative procedures for awarding scholarships as outlined in the brochure. The Scholarship tenure is from pre-medical/ pre-engineering studies to undergraduate studies. Among 40 scholarships, 20 scholarships are allocated for male aspirants and 20 scholarships are allocated for female aspirants. Academic Council is responsible for reviewing all scholarship applications and selecting recipients using the procedure described below


PRE-ENGINEERING/ PRE-MEDICAL STUDIES

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria for claiming the merit scholarships.

  • Daily Practice Test
  • Students who score 90% marks in Sri Ramanuja scholarship exam will be offered full waiver of two year course and will be eligible for        monthly stipend of Rs 5000/-.
  • Students who score 80% marks in Sri Ramanuja scholarship exam will be offered full waiver of two year course and not eligible for        monthly stipend.
  • Students who score 70% marks in Sri Ramanuja scholarship exam are eligible for monthly stipend of Rs 5000/- for first three months        and stipend will be resumed based on the performance given in point (5) & (6)
  • All the students of Sri Ramanuja Vidya Mandir are eligible for monthly stipend of Rs 5000/- based on the performance as mentioned        in point (5).
  • Progress of students awarded scholarship for academic year in subsequent months shall be reviewed for every three months        continuation, based upon his/ her performance of consolidated performance report of mains, advanced or NEET examinations        conducted in the institute. For continuation of scholarship student shall be required to maintain 75% score in MAINS, NEET AND 65%        in JEE ADVANCED EXAM.
  • Out of 12 exams in three months 10 exams average will be considered for evaluation.
  • Scholarship awards are disbursed to student bank accounts every month.

Note:

  • a) Any indiscipline observed in aspirants, Sri Ramanuja reserves the right to disqualify for merit scholarship.
  • b) Academic Council considers general discipline and academic performance in awarding the merit scholarships.
  • c) All the scholarships will be awarded with strict principles of evaluation without an element of partial attitude.

UNDER GRADUATE STUDIES

  • Students who secure below 500 rank in MAINS or JEE ADVANCED or NEET are eligible for merit scholarship of full tution fee for        undergraduate studies and also eligible for stipend of Rs 7000/- per month.
  • Students who secure below 1000 rank in MAINS or JEE ADVANCED or NEET are eligible for merit scholarship of full tution fee for        undergraduate studies.
  • Students who secure below 5000 rank in MAINS or JEE ADVANCED or NEET are eligible for also eligible for stipend of Rs 7000/- per        month.
  • Students who secure below 7000 rank in MAINS or JEE ADVANCED or NEET are eligible for also eligible for stipend of Rs 5000/- per        month.

Note:

  • a) Students must maintain a CGPA of 8.5 in the subsequent semesters for continuation of tution fee and stipend amount.
  • b) General category ranks will be considered for merit scholarship.
  • c) Applicants should not have been suspended for any grave act of indiscipline by the university.
